IOI-5201 is an easy Plug & Play PCI Bus Master Dual-Channel Wide Ultra2 SCSI host adapter. The Bus Master DMA core is tightly coupled to the SCSI core through the SCRIPTS processor, which supports uninterrupted Scatter/Gather memory operations. An 816-byte FIFO allows the IOI-5201 to support 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, or 128 long word bursts across the PCI Bus interface.

Universal LVD transceivers are backward compatible with single-ended devices.

Longer Cables and Better Connectivity
Each Ultra2 SCSI cannel on IOI-5201 64-bit Dual-Channel Wide Ultra2 host adapter can support up to 15 devices on a 12 meter long cable.? In a point-to-pint configuration, cabling can be extended up to 25 meters.? Increasing the cable length provides flexibility in system configuration.
